The saga of Shirley Sherrod has all of the elements of a classic American story: a little person beaten down by the powers that be; a muckraking villain; the vexing elements of race, class, and gender; and a triumphant victory where the bad guys are exposed and our heroine stands supreme.
What is the only thing missing? A song to accompany this tale.
